Ghosts

When the time came, I was waiting, I could feel them come down on me. The central offices have released their ghosts and there is no escaping. And when they take me into that room, I will have to let them record; record over me with their faces closed as if no one is speaking.

24 Hours

I was on the train wearing a face. I was in the office looking at space. I was in a dream, I wasn’t waiting for anything. I was fast asleep, I wasn’t where I have always been. I was on the stairs, carrying bones. I was on the freeway, leaving in rows. I was in a dream, I wasn’t holding the clock in my view. I was fast asleep, I wasn’t signing my name in black and blue. I was in a dream, I wasn’t holding the clock in my hands. I was fast asleep, I wasn’t being made to understand.

Apple

I peer into the information, I’m searching for the answer with the arrow and the hand. By noise I am the answer’s author. It doesn’t matter what’s outside the door, I am informed. When it’s over, everything will be alright, we can all return to the apple tree. I’m standing in the information, so now it’s fair to say I know the truth ‘cuz I was there. And when I’m standing in the garden, the apple of my eye will be the apple of my mind. When it’s over, everything will be alright, we can all return to the apple tree. People in the city, buildings in the body, something doesn’t feel right lately. When we’re broken open, maybe we’ll be loveless, driving in the moonlight, feeling sleepless. Driving into the night. In the forest of wanting, animals are walking along the patches of morning, hidden by the branches.
